I would say there’s a useful lesson here or even a writing prompt, but Litnivorous already has a prompt on mistake (also not sure I want to read the poems this would inspire), and if you haven’t learned these lessons by now you just aren’t going to. That’s not to say mistakes aren’t useful, they can be a great catalyst for change, for inspiration, for a better spelling and grammar checker (like this one), and who hasn’t made a mistake? I’m a terrible speller, but I do like words, especially when they are used in unusual ways. So I take the time to learn them and their meanings and I kick ass at word games (or the Verbal section of the SAT or both). This love of language is the premise of the regular Word of the Day series. Part three goes up tomorrow…

Happy Monday!
